We have been thinking about a 3 month trip since last year, when Sime and I decided to take our Long Service Leave. It was such a developed country problem, when we couldn’t decide to travel overseas or around Australia. How tough!!

With our connections to this country, and feeling the need to stay local, we made our mind up that it’s a trip around Oz – up the guts, turn right at Katherine, and around the Kimberley.

So what’s our Purpose (with a capital ‘P’)? To connect to each other, be outdoors, and to connect to the traditional landowners of this country and their culture.

Well, there’s bound to be much more than that, but that’ll do for now.

Oh, and to do some bushwalks, sleep under the stars, argue over who’s going to get up out of bed to make coffee, and fight over who’s got my toothbrush.
